Welcome
St Luke's Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church in Great Britain. We are a multi ethnic, welcoming, inclusive and diverse community based in Headingley. We follow the ancient liturgy of the Church and, as Lutherans, believe that Christ is present in the bread and wine of communion. We use both modern and traditional hymns. However, not all of us are 'Lutheran'- in the words of our Eucharistic Liturgy, 'Christ invites us to this holy feast. All are invited and all are welcome'.
We meet every Sunday at 10.30am for worship. Communion services are usually led by our Pastor, (Rev. Mark Hardy), and a monthly service of the Word is led by a lay member of the congregation. Our times of Worship are usually followed by a time of fellowship where Pastor Mark insists that we serve the best coffee and cake in Headingley!
Please look at our services page for more details or get in touch if you have any questions.
